Hello Ladies,
Happy Friday to you all!
Today is the day we have the pleasure of starting something new & exciting here on the blog called:
"Fashionista Fridays"
A Fashionista post will be posted
every-other Friday afternoon!
Fashionista posts will be about our daily struggles we as women face trying to find appropriate & modest clothing in today's society.
As we discuss many different topics,
I hope to discover with you,
the true meaning of femininity & grace!
We will also be having a special lady share her testimony on one of the
Fashionista Fridays :)
Keep an eye out for it!
So without further ado...
Welcome to the 1st ever
Fabulous Fashionista Friday!!
To start off today I would like you to grab your Bibles & head over to
1 Peter 3:3-4
"Your beauty should not come from outward adornment, such as elaborate hairstyles and the wearing of gold jewelry or fine clothes. Rather, it should be that of your inner self, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is of great worth in God’s sight."
Femininity- A characteristic or trait;
The quality of being female.
(she celebrates her femininity by wearing make-up and high heels.)
Our Culture always is pushing the mindset that femininity is all
outward-appearance.
What are your thoughts, Ladies?
Do you believe that femininity only comes when wearing a certain floral, Lacey-cream dress with a pearl necklace? or
Do you believe that femininity is a quality created by God planted within us women for a specific purpose... in the deepest, most inner parts of our soul & spirit?
“True feminine beauty is the natural by-product of a young woman who has emptied herself, given up her own life, and allowed God’s Spirit complete access to every dimension of her inner and outer life.”
-Leslie Ludy
Have we seriously done that...
Have we emptied our lives to Christ?
Are we sold-out for our Saviour?
Are we willing to do what it takes to make a radical impact on the females of this generation?
You'll have to wait & see!
Stay tuned for #2
of Fabulous Fashionista Fridays
to be posted on
Friday, January 24th!!
Until next time!
Kerrington
This is great Kerrington! I couldn't agree with you more. We spend way too much time trying to attain beauty from the outside in, when all along God designed for us to peel off the layers that hinder that beauty from showing, or rather, for us to allow Him to peel back those layers. Keep at it lady!
